Tobias Keyl is an Associate Partner based in gmp’s Berlin office, and Principal of gmp’s New York branch. He spent his early career working in a New York City design office. He received his diploma in architecture from the Technical University in Braun-schweig and is a registered architect. From 2009-2016 Tobias lived in Beijing where he was co-head of the Beijing office. He has successfully led significant largescale developments from concept to realization and has completed projects in Europe, Asia and Africa. He is a true global citizen with experience in different project typologies and regions. This enables him to quickly understand the complexity of his clients’ culture and challenges and develop new solution strategies, while pursuing the highest design standards. Tobias’ work focuses on interdis-ciplinary collaboration towards sustainable projects. Since 2021 Tobias is part of gmp’s global sustainable design steering group. In 2020 he was invited to participate in the Industry Advisor Group at Harvard University Graduate School of Design on the topic “Future of Air Travel”.
