Rosan is the founder and Creative Director of Rosan Bosch Studio. She is internationally recognized for her iconic designs and her innovative approach to creating future-oriented learning environments.
Rosan uses design as a tool for innovation and change, challenging established norms and cultures. Through dialogue with users, she transforms physical spaces into meaningful and enriching experiences - from stimulating work environments to libraries and schools that activate and motivate students. As the creative driving force of the studio, Rosan sets the direction for its vision, conceptual development, user engagement processes, and the strategic decisions that lead to holistic design solutions.
In her book, Designing a Better World Starts at School, she presents a transformative vision of the paradigm shift in educational space design. Based on the six principles for learning situations, she proposes open, imaginative, and dynamic environments that respond to diverse learning needs and foster modern, flexible pedagogical methodologies.
She has collaborated with local and national authorities in transforming educational systems, ranging from the award-winning Sheikh Zayed Private Academy in Abu Dhabi, Markham College in Peru, and Western Academy Beijing to the Ministry of Education of Argentina. She has also developed innovative public libraries, such as the Billund Children’s Library; work environments, including LEGO’s development department; and exhibitions for multinational companies such as VELUX and Maersk. Among her notable projects is the interior design of the Klim-Op Zandbergen public school, which was named Best Interior Project in the Education category at the World Architecture Festival.
Rosan studied at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in the Netherlands and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona. She has more than 25 years of professional experience in design, architecture, and art. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to design and educational innovation, she received an honorary doctorate from Hasselt University, Belgium, in 2025.
She is frequently invited to deliver talks and lectures around the world, including TED Talks, the IB Global Conference, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the UNESCO Forum, among others.
