Prof. Christine Nickl-Weller is a renowned architect and a pioneer of Healing Architecture in Germany, with more than four decades of experience in the design of healthcare facilities, research buildings and urban development. As a co-founder of Nickl & Partner Architekten, together with Prof. Hans Nickl, she has played a decisive role in shaping numerous projects and currently serves as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Nickl & Partner Architekten AG.
Alongside her professional work, Christine Nickl-Weller has been strongly engaged in academia. In 2004 she was appointed Professor at the Technical University of Berlin, where she led the chair for “Design of Hospitals and Buildings for the Healthcare Sector.”
Beyond architecture and academia, she is actively committed to social responsibility and research through the Hans and Christine Nickl Foundation, which she co-founded with Prof. Hans Nickl in 2007. The foundation is based on the conviction that health is not a luxury, but a fundamental prerequisite for a sustainable and resilient society and that far more research is needed on the relationship between architecture and human well-being.
