An alumna of BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, she holds a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Clemson University, USA. Together with her husband, she leads a thriving design practice with a diverse portfolio across residential and adaptive reuse projects. Her work is known for its thoughtful balance of creativity, practicality, and aesthetic depth. Their practice was a finalist at the World Architecture Festival 2025 in the Residential Interiors category and has also been shortlisted for the WADe Asia Awards. Their projects have been featured in 50 Most Beautiful Homes and other leading design publications. Gunjan is deeply committed to education, mentorship, and professional advocacy. She has served on the juries of several national and regional design awards, taught at leading institutions, conducted workshops for Asian Paints, and served on Boards of Studies at academic institutions. She actively supports the promotion of Indian arts, crafts, and the wider creative industries. A passionate advocate for women in design and leadership, she frequently curates and speaks at design and cultural forums across India. She has held several key leadership roles with the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID), Bengaluru Chapter — serving as Chairperson (2023–2025), during which the chapter received the ‘Best Chapter of the Term Award’. She has also served as Chair-Elect, Honorary Secretary, and Treasurer, and currently serves as the Immediate Past Chairperson.
