Immanuel Koh is an Assistant Professor in Design & Artificial Intelligence (DAI) and Architecture & Sustainable Design (ASD) at the Singapore University of Technology & Design (SUTD) where he directs Artificial-Architecture. Trained at the Architectural Association (AA) in London and holds a PhD from the School of Computer Sciences and Institute of Architecture at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), he is the Hokkien Foundation Early Career Chair Professor. A pioneer in AI x Architecture and Principal Investigator for several AI research projects (e.g., AI Singapore, DesignSingapore, Zaha Hadid Architects, MVRDV), Immanuel was represented at the Singapore Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025 and served as conference chair of CAADRIA 2024. His work has been featured at premium AI conferences (e.g., ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, SIGGRAPH), awarded design prizes (e.g., WAF, German Design Award, DigitalFUTURES), and exhibited at museums worldwide. Immanuel currently leads the formation of the Singapore Chapter for ANFA (Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture) and serves as a convenor of the national AI Centre of Excellence for the Built Environment in Singapore.
