Fernanda Patiño graduated with honors as an architect from the Universidad Anáhuac México Norte in 2010. She holds an academic specialization from Ball State University Indiana with the Digital Fabrication Workshop in 2008 and completed the AEDES Network Campus Berlin Summer Program Workshop in 2009, where she was involved in architectural research into local design methodologies. She also has a fervent personal interest in the theory and history of art, aware that this is a vital aspect of the continuing study of architecture. This interest led into a recent certificate program in Museography: Exhibition Design and Production by CENTRO| Diseño, Cine y Televisión in 2025. Her daily practice has also made her aware of the importance of wellness as a key element for interior design, and got a certificate from The Wellness Business Lab focused on retail and hospitality. She has over 15 years of experience in the production of architectural and interior design. She has been leading the interior design area for Sordo Madaleno since 2018 leading projects of various typologies. These include residential, retail, and hospitality projects that combine in a comprehensive manner the designed space and significant art collections. Likewise, she was responsible for the design of the exhibition of the Juan Sordo Madaleno Archive and Sordo Madaleno’s studio: Shaping Transformation in Mexico City. In the course of her professional career, Fernanda has held roles as Jr Architect and Project Leader. During these phases she worked on projects of great significance such as the interiors for hospitality projects like Park Hyatt Mexico City and Los Cabos, Ritz Carlton Riviera Maya and St Regis Costa Mujeres. In the f&b industry she has been involved in Ling Ling Mexico City, Lavo Mexico City and the upcoming Milos in Los Cabos.
