Cristina Verissimo lives and works in Halifax, Canada, and Lisbon, Portugal.

MArch II degree, GSD, Harvard University, 2002. Registered architect in Portugal since 1989. Worked with Zaha Hadid in London (1989- 1991).
Founded CVDB Arquitectos with Diogo Burnay in 1999. Projects and buildings have been exhibited and published worldwide and have received national and international awards and prizes. Juries and lectures in Spain, France, Germany, Argentina, Chile, Peru, China, USA and Canada. Developing a PhD on research of possible new uses of Cork in architecture. Conducting international workshops involving researchers, universities and industry. Together with Diogo Burnay, was the chief curator of the 2022 Lisbon Architecture Triennale, “Terra”. In 2025 Curator on the XIII Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BIAU) in Lima, Peru.
