Your Guide to WAF
WHAT IS WAF?

WHAT IS WAF?

Launched in 2008, the World Architecture Festival has been bringing the global architecture community together in different cities around the world for over a decade. Each year the event welcomes thousands of architects, designers, and suppliers to celebrate their achievements, learn from their peers and discover new products and services.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT TO OTHER ARCHITECTURE EVENTS?

It is the ONLY architecture event where keynote talks from the industry’s most influential figures sit alongside live crit presentations and judging, global networking, a 495-project strong gallery and an international product exhibition.

HOW DOES WAF WORK?

HOW DOES WAF WORK?

Architects and designers from across the globe enter their work into 45 categories across completed buildings, future projects, and landscape, as well as Interiors through our sister event Inside.

Each submission is then considered for shortlisting using the anonymous entry boards by a panel of international expert judges in London.

The judging panel will review the entry boards by category and in turn will create a shortlist for each one.

Entrants will be informed by the middle of July whether they have been successful or not.

All finalists go on to present their work live in Lisbon!

Every practice shortlisted must then attend the festival in order to present LIVE and be in with the chance of winning their category and going on to compete for the prestigious title of World Building of the Year, Future Project of the Year, Landscape of the Year or World Interior of the Year.

By winning this globally-renowned prize you will prove to the industry that your practice is the best in its field enabling you to win more work and be seen as a world leader in design.
