Ziyu Zhuang is the founder and principal architect of BUZZ | Büro Ziyu Zhuang, with offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Berlin. Working across cultural architecture, hospitality and spatial installations, his practice explores the contemporary interpretation of Eastern spatial traditions. His work draws on landscape, local histories and the relationship between built form and individual perception, often organising spaces as a sequence of distinct moments that unfold through movement and discovery.

He was responsible for the spatial design of the China Pavilion at the 2022 Venice Art Biennale and participated in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
His work has received two World Architecture Festival awards, for interiors and hotel and leisure architecture, alongside recognition from ArchDaily and Architizer. He has also served as a jury member for the World Architecture Festival, Dezeen Awards China and RIBA Asia Pacific Awards.
