Jeremy Melvin secures prestigious grant

World Architecture Festival

WAF curator Jeremy Melvin has received a grant from the Graham Foundation for his project Jo Noero: South African architecture, politics and social justice.

The prestigious Graham Foundation has been making grants to individuals and groups to advance knowledge and understanding of architecture since 1956. In 2026 they made 54 grants from over 600 applications. Noero, a former speaker and super juror at WAF, is one of South Africa's leading architects and has a long track record of working with poor and deprived communities while producing inventive architecture.
